| Use of the following checklist before submitting artwork will help reduce the proofing cycle time to a minimum.
Document Construction Tips for ALL Programs
Step 1: Allow for 1/8" Bleed. Extend bleed objects no less than 1/8" beyond the edge of the page.
Step 2: Confirm the page size (File > Document Setup) matches the desired page size for this order.
Step 3: Last stop for final check. We recommend running spell check and printing proofs at 100% on a PostScript printer and checking content carefully.
Step 4: File Menu > Package... click "Package..." button. Click "Continue" button. Select Copy Fonts, Copy Linked Graphics, Update Graphics Links in Package checkboxes. Save to a new "Pakage" folder on the Desktop.
Step 5: Prepare InDesign to generate a PDF for Taggart Printing's Prepress workflow. Download file TPC_CS4.joboptions.zip. Unzip by double-clicking. InDesign: File > Adobe PDF Presets > Define... , click "Load..." button, navigate to and select file "TPC_CS4.joboptions," click "Open" button, then click "Done" button.
Step 6: Create a press ready PDF file. File > Adobe PDF Presets > TPC_CS4... Navigate to "Package" folder created in step 4, click "Save" button, enter page range (or all pages), click "Export" button.
Step 7: Create a Stuffit archive or MacOS zip archive (Finder: File > Create Archive of...) of your Package folder, then upload the archive to our website.
